What is the Modo Yoga Community all about?
Modo Yoga is a dedicated, conscious community of over 55 studios worldwide with a passion to bring more peace into the world. Whether you are an absolute beginner or a more experienced student, we offer accessible classes that are challenging, healthy, and fun! We also offer wellness services such as craniosacral therapy, reflexology, acupuncture, reiki, and registered massage therapy.
What are the benefits of hot yoga and what types of classes do you offer?
We offer a variety of classes that are intended to open, strengthen and relax the entire body. Our Modo Yoga classes are built on the foundation of our Modo series which is designed to be practiced in the heat. Our hot yoga room is heated with radiant heat, and feels like a warm sun shining on you, helping create more openness and flexibility and also a great sweat! This is very therapeutic if you have chronic pain, would like to increase your flexibility, have trouble sleeping, while also relieving stress and anxiety, and promotes relaxation. The air is constantly being purified making it easy to breathe and move. People who practice regularly often notice that they are happier, have better focus, and are more able to handle the stresses of every day life, while feeling so much better in their body!
Other classes that are offered include flow classes, yin yoga (for a deep stretch), Modo calm (combines breathwork, meditation, and stretching) and also hot HIIT, Barre and Pilates.
How do I sign up and what should I bring?
We offer a great introductory special if you’re new to the studio – $45 for two weeks of unlimited classes. This is the best way to get started. We also offer class cards, or the best value is our unlimited monthly membership.
You’ll need a yoga mat, towel and water for class. We also have mats, towels, water bottles and yoga clothing in our boutique to purchase. We do recommend bringing a change of clothes for after class– did we mention you’ll sweat a lot?!
