Consumer Choice Award (CCA) is fundamentally different from all other awards. That’s because it is the only award based on statistically supported independent research. The process has been designed to be transparent, unbiased, and therefore, credible. In other words, it indeed is an award chosen by the consumers.
Most award show judging is opaque. One would know the ultimate winners but nothing about the process or the parameters. This makes them susceptible to bias. What compounds the problem is that there is little accountability in the process, either during or after.
Independent and objective
CCA winners are chosen by an independent third-party, through an in-depth, consumer evaluation process. Unbiased consumer opinions are gathered, calculated, and then thoroughly checked by some of the leading market research firms in North America. The focus is to remove personal preferences and subjective judgement from the process and make it dynamic and objective. There are no ‘career’ judges or predictable panels in the CCA process.
The winners are chosen on the basis of the most sophisticated consumer-driven selection criteria. The winners are never randomly picked but the result of exhaustive consumer evaluation enabled by Big Data. This method makes sure that only the most outstanding and deserving companies in North America become CCA winners.
The right categories
Business categories have changed over the years but most awards have not taken that into account. CCA identifies categories that matter the most to today’s consumers. Once they are chosen, there is little room for ambiguity. They are then standardized across all markets where CCA awards are given. But there is enough room for localization as regional variations influence category selection in some markets.
Data-driven methodology
The CCA methodology aggregates the views and feedback of thousands of consumers and business owners. The data is sourced from renowned market research company Advanced Symbolics.
CCA also independently researches, compiles, and considers all available online information to filter candidates to ensure that only those with proven positive customer reviews and high customer-satisfaction enter the process. After refining the list of companies, market insights are integrated with survey results. This allows us to confidently rank all companies and award them the status of Top-Ranked Service Provider.
